Sign Up for EMT courses underway

GOSHEN, Ind. - The Emergency Medical field is an exciting and challenging health-care career for those interested in providing emergency care in the pre-hospital or hospital emergency department setting.

The cornerstone of the EMS System is the EMT and Goshen Health System is offering two chances for interested persons to become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. At the completion of these courses, part of the health system's nationally accredited Medical Technician-Paramedic Program, participants will have the knowledge to become a valued member of a pre-hospital emergency care team.

Beginning June 7, Community Wellness & Education of Goshen Health System will offer an accelerated Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course. A deposit of $200 will ensure your place in this course. 

This accelerated EMT course is just 8 weeks long. Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - noon.  The cost for the course is $650 with textbook, materials and Healthcare Provider CPR Certification included.  The registration deadline is June 1.
Also being offered and beginning in July, is the Goshen Health System's Basic Emergency Medical Technician course. The EMT course is six months long.  Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m.  The cost for the course is $650 with textbook, materials and Healthcare Provider CPR Certification are included.  The deadline to register for this course is June 30. A deposit of $200 will ensure your place in this course.
